This is the place holder for the Sydney Atheists hits the 'burbs Meetup.

We are planning to get out there in the suburbs and come to you. This is a new regular event, inititally scheduled for every 3 months, but hopefully we will make it at least bi-monthly.

The October Meetup will hopefully be in Parramatta, depending on venue availability.

We are also hoping to visit areas such as Hornsby, Liverpool/Campbelltown, Sutherland and the northern beaches.

Religion with a twist – hear him discuss his new book, Religion for Atheists, a non-believer’s guide to the uses of religion. What if religions are neither all true nor all nonsense? De Botton’s inspiring new book suggests that rather than mocking religions, agnostics and atheists should in fact steal from them. He boldly argues that the supernatural claims of religion are of course entirely false - but that religions still have some very important things to teach the secular world.

Sydney Atheists

Sydney Atheists will join the Rally for Marriage Equality. This is a national protest. Groups from across the country are organising for their supporters to make the trip to Sydney. They gather at Hyde Park in Sydney to march to the Labor Party national conference as they debate their policy on marriage. Sydney Atheists decided to support this cause, and will be present with their own contingent. Please join us. We gather around the Sydney Atheist banner.
